Professional Managed Business
The manager and operator started in the automotive field with Secondary Career Center training from college educated and industry experienced experts from the industry for two years. Early industry work included 5 years of fleet service working on many various engine operated vehicles and stationary units. Industry experience also included working on American vehicles and then on European vehicles. In the mid 1980s and within the industry he was mentored through a Porsche-Audi dealership for two years. Training was also acquired in the early to mid 1980s from manufacturing engineers at the General Motors Learning Center in Detroit Michigan as well as the Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi training center in Columbus Ohio.
Career positions included lead technician, foreman technician, and shop owner and operator. After the 1980s a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Masters of Science Degree lead to a Doctorate Degree (all with high distinction), while holding various career positions. Continued professional automotive training and consulting through ASE kept him grounded and up-to-date in the automotive field while continuously renewing the status of ASE Master Technician from about 1984 to current. He consulted for ASE through the National Automotive Teacher Education Foundation and served as a lead evaluator of education programs.
In the 1990s and 2000s continued automotive training was obtained via vehicle manufacturer (rare today) and factory (popular tool and equipment makers) at: Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, Ferris State University, Manufacturer online training, and Automotive Youth Education System (AYES) annually presented and hosted training by 13 vehicle manufacturers. Vehicle repair practices continued in the form of summer dealership services as well as for self, family, friends, and acquaintances.
Various post graduate career positions were held and include high school ASE certified program and AYES educator; post graduate university adjunct teacher; research assistant, lead researcher, psychometrician, and web based database system grant manager at school, state, and federal level; A return to a business owner in this latter part of a career was to provide quality services and training to young aspiring technicians to boost their careers. We strive to offer fair prices and the best quality service and products.
Family Owned
We are a family owned and operated business. As local residents we are aware of the need for a quality and affordable car and truck maintenance and service shop. We have a background of both country and big city living and happily choose the former as our home. We work together in a concerted effort to offer fair prices and the best quality service and products.
David's personal philosophy is: To live like today is our last day; learn like we will never die; and to live traditionally with educated guided changes in life's course.
Purpose
Our purpose is to offer quality and affordable vehicle services and repairs. Our advantage is the education, experience, and expertise our team offers. Each of our lubrication technicians are working toward their ASE Certifications. The combined automotive experience of our team is greater than 45 years. Our technician leader has over 35 years of automotive experience and over 30 years as an ASE Master Certified Technician. Additionally, our leader has received training from over 13 vehicle manufacturers which began with Technical School and then manufacturer engineer lead training. We are only limited in service by our equipment, number of employees, and by choice.
